
Morzine is the ideal destination for a fun and informal summer holiday. All of our chalets benefit from having gardens or sun terraces for you to enjoy the summer sun, and are well based for you to pursue the many activities on offer in the area:
Walking
The Portes du Soleil area offers walkers many possibilities. There are numerous walking trails in the area for all levels of fitness. You can also make use of the network of 24 ski lifts during the peak summer months to avoid the worst of the climbs!
Mountain Biking
Morzine and the Portes du Soleil offers some of the best mountain biking in Europe. The area has over 380km of marked trails & 10 downhill tracks which are served by 24 chair lifts. There is something for all level of ability including bike parks, single track and cross country.
Road Biking
Playing host again in 2010 to one of the stages of the Tour de France, Morzine is an excellent base for road bike enthusiasts. It is located close to many famous climbs; Avoriaz, Col de Ramaz and the Col de Joux Plan.
Swimming
There is a large open air swimming pool located in the centre Morzine. It has 3 pools, a waterslide, volleyball courts and landscaped gardens ideal for sunbathing and plenty of space for children to play. Currently, an indoor swimming pool is being built which will be ready by winter 2012.
Alternatively there is Lac Montriond, which is a delightful spot for swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. There is also a supervised children pool area open in the summer months.
Golf
There are several excellent golf courses within an easy drive of the chalet. Les Gets has an 18 hole golf course whilst there is an 9 hole course in Avoriaz. There are also championship courses a short drive away at Evian and Chamonix.
White Water Rafting
There are excellent opportunities for rafting on the River Dranse which runs through Morzine on its way to Lake Geneva. Rafting is an exhilarating, fun and safe activity for all the family to enjoy. There are several rafting companies based on the river, a 15 minute drive from Morzine.
