Tourist Office activities

A ski holiday isn’t just about skiing. Each week there’s a range of activities put on by the local area, whether you’re in Les Gets, Morzine, St Jean d’Aulps or Montriond you’ll find free Welcome drinks on saturday – the perfect opportunity to taste the local chartreuse!

Torchlight descent

A spectacle to admire – ski instructors descending the ski pistes with flaming torches, a weekly event in most of the resorts. Watch it with a steaming mug of vin chaud to keep warm.

Village centres

All our properties are in the lovely village resorts of Morzine, Les Gets and St Jean d’Aulps. There are weekly markets offering local produce, fantastic shops with ski gear and local food and produce, cafes and restaurants. In Morzine you’ll find beautiful walks and a playground next to the river, or pay for a tour of the village in horse and cart.

Snow Factory

Have you always wondered how resorts create artificial snow and keep pistes in good condition when snow levels are low? Visit the snow factory in the Nyon sector in Morzine. Regular visits are organised so you can find out the deep dark mystery of snow making!

Petit train

Always a winner with little ones waiting while big brother or sister has their ski lesson! You can keep them occupied with a free ride round the village on the petit train. Designed as a useful way of getting across the village centres, it’s also a fun ride for children.

Sledging

Les Gets has five specially secured sledging slopes around the village, and Morzine has a large space at the foot of the Pleney and also at the top next to the learner area. Children can sledge in safety, without worries of coming into contact with skiers speeding down the slopes as these special sledging zones are separated from the ski slopes.

If you want something new try the yooner. The Yooner has a seat 20 cm above the ground, and is equipped with a shock absorber for more comfort and a skate allowing you to carve just as you do skiing. A different way to get down the slopes!

Cheese visit

If you need a break from skiing, every Wednesday and Thursday morning there is a free tour of the cheese dairy in Morzine. Nicolas, the cheesemaker explains what’s involved in producing cheese.
